►2023 Lunar New Year holiday schedule with civil servants and public employees

Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in Document 4297/LDTBXH-ATLD dated October 26, 2022 on the proposal of the Lunar New Year holiday: the Deputy Prime Minister agreed to the plan of the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday: lasts 07 days.

Accordingly, the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday schedule of civil servants and public employees starts from Friday, January 20, 2023 to the end of Thursday, January 26, 2023.

►Lunar New Year holiday schedule for non-state employees

For non-state employees, the employer decides to choose a plan to take the Lunar New Year break in 2023 in accordance with the reality of the business.

The non-state employer's Lunar New Year holiday plan needs to ensure 05 days, in which:

  • 01 day off in the old year and 04 days in the new year; or
  • 02 days off for the old year and 03 days for the new year.

If the Lunar New Year holiday coincides with the weekly rest day, the employee is entitled to a compensatory leave according to regulations.

► National Day Holiday Schedule 2023
The content of CV 8056 also mentioning the National Day 2023 holiday schedule from September 1, 2023 to the end of September 4, 2023" has been approved.

Other weekly holidays, public holidays and New Year's holidays shall comply with the provisions of the Labor Code.

The Government Office notifies the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and other ministries and agencies for knowledge and implementation.
